How to Design Your Own Indoor Basketball Court
Tired of spending the winter indoors, unable to play basketball? Looking for a better way to practice your 3-point shot or free throws when there’s snow on the ground? C&C Courts has a solution: Design your own indoor basketball court!
There are many benefits to having an indoor athletic court during the wintertime, not to mention getting some extra exercise instead of sitting on the couch for three months straight. Best of all, you don’t have to depend on making Santa’s nice list to have unlimited access to your very own indoor basketball court!
Designing your own indoor basketball court has never been easier! Check out C&C Courts’ easy-to-use “Design a Court” feature to input your specifications and design your dream court. We’ll walk you through the process so you know exactly what to do.
Step 1: Select Your Environment
When you land on this page, you’re given three options: outdoor, indoor, or your saved courts. We give you the option to save your courts so you can play around with different dimensions and styles until you find your perfect court.
At this point, select “Indoor.”
Step 2: Select Your Court Size and Type
The next option to select is the court size and type. There are several options, including half-courts, full courts, double basketball courts, and more. Check out each one and its related dimensions that will fit your space.
For this example, we’ll select “Half Court.”
Step 3: Design Away!
After you select your court type, our 3D design tool will load in your browser. Here’s where the fun begins! You can completely customize your court in this space, from the field color, key color, line color, and border color.
You can change the dimensions in this section as well. Use the sliders to change the game line position and rotation, along with their width and length. As you select different colors and dimensions, the 3D rendering of your court will change to match your settings. This is an awesome way to design different color schemes for your court.
If you want to compare two different styles and color schemes, click the “Compare” button in the lower right corner of the screen. A line will appear down the middle of your court, and you can change the colors on either side until you like what you see.
Add Hoops
You will see an option for adding hoops at the top of the screen on the left side. As you click this button, more hoops will appear on the court rendering.
Add a Logo
If you want to add a logo to your court design, you can click the “Upload Logo” button at the top. A file browser will pop up, prompting you to select a PNG or JPG of your logo image. Select your image and click “Open.”
Your logo will appear on the court in the paint section of the court. You can change the width of the logo by adjusting the number under the Upload Logo button.
Change Game Lines
If you’re interested in having a multi-sport court, you can add other game lines to your court. There is a drop-down menu on the left side of the screen that allows you to select what kind of game lines you want on your court. Simply click “Add,” and the new game lines will appear.
Step 4: Save Your Court
It is important to save your court once you’ve adjusted every detail to your liking. Clicking the “Save” button will prompt you to create a new account, which will allow you to save multiple court designs.
Step 5: Print or Share Your Court
After saving your court, click the “Print” or “Share” button. When you click either of these buttons, a prompt will appear asking some questions about you, so our team can get to know you better. This will help us create your dream court.
After you answer the questions, you can print or share your court design with us.
Step 6: Get the Call
After you share your court design, a member of our team will reach out to you to further discuss your dream basketball court. We’ll go over every detail and make sure you’re satisfied with every detail moving forward, then we can discuss timing and construction.
Step 7: Play Ball!
After your new indoor basketball court is installed, it’s time to play! Gear up and have a great time playing basketball with friends and family, get some exercise in the winter, and improve your basketball skills. Have fun!
